Warm and sunny days of summer are upon us – and just in time as the country opens up to new freedoms after the lockdowns of the COVID-19 pandemic. We are grateful for the high vaccination rates and for the hard efforts from everyone to contain the spread of this virus and its variants.

Winter holidays are approaching! This holiday season brings extra anxiety as our families across the country do their best to cope with their plans for school and seasonal festivities under the shadow of a deadly global pandemic.

Warm sunny days herald our summer plans; but this year’s plans have been overshadowed by COVID-19. Families who have been sheltering-in-place for the past few months are cautiously venturing outside as our country slowly reopens.
Spring brings new hope as winter melts away. Our families living with LD are now on the home stretch of the academic year and are taking advantage of the many activities and programs – current and new – offered by our LDA network to support them.
Snow and long nights bring on the anticipation and excitement of the holiday season – plus the extra stress on our families living with LD as routines change to accommodate holiday activities.
The end of the school year brings a new set of activities for our families living with LD. Many of us are planning how to continue to support our loved ones with LD during the summer break in the midst of summer camps and family vacations and other life challenges.
As we thaw out of our deep freeze – yes, it’s been a tough winter! – we look forward to brighter and warmer Spring weather to nurture the many new initiatives to support our LD community. The many activities that are underway across our country are inspiring.
Winter brings its own special magic as we all prepare for the excitement of the holiday season. Our LDA network continues to work tirelessly to support our families living with LD as this time of year can be extra stressful as routines change to make way for holiday activities.
Fall is in the air and with it marks a new school year with new possibilities and at LDAC, after taking a few weeks of a very well deserved break, activities are resuming on the various LDAC committees and projects. We are looking forward to rolling up our sleeves.
Summer has arrived and with the end of the school year, many of us are planning our family vacations.
Stormy, cold and snowy winters will soon melt away to brighter and warmer weather that will encourage new young things to grow.
No sooner have we settled into our Fall work and school routines, we are suddenly into excitement of the holiday season.
